Dr. Edward Ohlson

As an applied statistician, psychologist, businessperson, and academician Dr. Edward Ohlson has significant experience in business, academic, and healthcare venues. He holds a doctorate degree in psychology and a post-doctorate in applied statistics. In addition to his educational qualifications he is a well published author with two text books, 22 peer reviewed journal articles, seven training and development manuals, and numerous position/white papers. His teaching experience includes academic posts with Case Western University, School of Medicine, Ohio State University, Pepperdine University, the University of California, and the University of Northern Colorado. His many skills have been enlisted by such companies as Continental Airlines, NASA/Tri-C, ACTS Testing Labs, Westinghouse, Bristol-Myers Squibbs, Thomson Learning, Century Products and various government and healthcare agencies.

Having chaired numerous dissertation and thesis committees Dr. Ohlson is acutely aware of a student s need to develop, plan and execute a quality dissertation and or thesis. To this end he assists the student from beginning to end. Although Dr. Ohlson has over 20 years experience as an applied statistician and research methodologist he never loses sight of the fact that, oftentimes, students are filled with anxiety when confronted with the world of statistics. Therefore, his approach to the world of statistics is one of patience, understanding, and excitement.
